<br />, <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The County grants the necessary permission to the City to do work within the <br /> <br />County limits as herein described and shown on Exhibit "A." <br /> <br />2. The City will include in its contract for the above-described project, spot repair <br /> <br />and slurry seal, work of a portion of Canyon Road near Cordilleras Road within the <br /> <br />unincorporated limits of the County. <br /> <br />3. The City will award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder pursuant to the <br /> <br />competitive bid processes as set forth in Chapter 2, Section VII of the Redwood City Code. The <br /> <br />City agrees to notify the County of the successful bidder to whom the construction contract is <br /> <br />awarded. <br /> <br />4. The City will award a contract for the complete spot repair and slurry seal project, <br /> <br />which shall include the work described above for the County portion of the roadway spot repair <br /> <br />and slurry seal work. The work to be performed shall be completed pursuant to and in accord <br /> <br />with standard City specifications. <br /> <br />5. The construction contract shall require the contractor to obtain and maintain <br /> <br />insurance and surety bonds as set forth in the City's standard public works contract Document <br /> <br />700 General Conditions, Part II. The contractor shall be required to comply with all applicable <br /> <br />laws as set forth in the City's standard public works contract Document 700 General Conditions, <br /> <br />Part VI. The contractor shall be required to name the City and the County as additional <br /> <br />insureds. <br /> <br />6. Pursuant to paragraph 11, the County agrees to reimburse City the total cost <br /> <br />incurred by the City for work on County facilities, including any contract Change Orders and <br /> <br />project management costs , provided that said project management costs which shall be ten <br /> <br />percent (10%) of the construction contract and Change Order costs for work performed on <br /> <br />County facilities. <br /> <br />7. The estimated maximum fiscal obligation for work performed on County facilities <br /> <br />is $3,300.00.
