6.1 H
Page 9
EXHIBIT"A"
SCPE OF SERVICES AND FEE
West Environmental Services Technology, lnc., will provide environmental consulting services
for the environmental assessment of Chemical Way properties. The following is a summary of
services to be performed by Consultant, from September through December:
The Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment("Phase 2"} scope will include sampling to address
suspect recognized environmental conditions, including potentiaf residuals from historical
underground storage tanks (USTs) and chemical spills from historical operations on the
property. In addition, the Phase 2 sampling will be used to evaluate potential soil vapor intrusion
issues from the known and suspected historica! releases of volatile organic compounds {VCs)
in soil and/or groundwater. The estimated budget is based on advancing 20-borings, with 15 for
collection of soil gas and soil samples and 5 borings for the collection of groundwater samples.
The soil gas samples will be analyzed for VOCs by USEPA Method TO-14/15. The groundwater
samples will be analyzed for V4Cs by USEPA Method 8260 and metals by USEPA Method
6000. Select samples may be analyzed for semi-volatile organic compounds by USEPA Method
827 and pH. The exact number, suite of analytes and locations of borings will be refined
pending input from the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - San Francisco Bay
Region.
We propose to complete this scope of services between October 1, 2010 and December 31,
2010, for a fee of$70,000.00.
3
