8/13/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14302 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR MADDUX PARK PLAY <br />AREA RENOVATION PROJECT (REVISED); AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14273, adopted July 9, 2001, the <br />City Clerk advertised for bids for the Maddux Park Play Area Renovation Project <br />(Revised) in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, three bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Cleary Bros. Landscape, Inc., of Danville, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to Cleary Bros. Landscape, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Cleary Bros. Landscape, Inc. in the amount of Five Hundred <br />Seventeen Thousand Nine Hundred Forty -Six and No /100 Dollars ($517,946.00), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated July 24, 2001, for the <br />construction of the Maddux Park Play Renovation Project (Revised) is hereby <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br />Reso -1214 1 <br />DES:rg <br />R/Shared/R edwood/C ounci I <br />07/25/01 <br />
