6.1F <br /> Page 4 <br /> (f) understands its obligation under the Corporation for National and <br /> Community Service Grant to Public Allies Silicon Valley/San <br /> Francisco; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and of the recitals, <br /> representations and warranties set forth below and upon the terms and conditions <br /> contained in this Agreement, the Parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> I. Duties and Responsibilities of the Parties. <br /> A. Duties and Responsibilities of Public Allies Silicon Valley/San <br /> Francisco <br /> Public Allies Silicon Valley/San Francisco shall: <br /> i. Use its best efforts to recruit and select Allies for the <br /> Program, and to provide information regarding certain Allies to Partner Organization in <br /> sufficient detail to permit Partner Organization to evaluate their suitability for the <br /> Position; <br /> ii. Work with Partner Organization on training an Ally applicable <br /> to the Position, and use its best efforts to train Ally both during the initial 7-day core <br /> training phase and during four full days (all of which will be a regular business day) of <br /> every month of the Term of the selected areas; and <br /> iii. Pay each first year Ally a stipend of exactly $16,000 gross <br /> and each Second Year Ally a stipend of exactly $17,000 gross during the Term of the <br /> Program in the form of monthly, semimonthly or bi-weekly payroll checks paid directly to <br /> the Ally. The regularly paid stipend amount should remain constant unless an extension <br /> of the agreed upon Member term becomes necessary, in which case the regularly paid <br /> stipend amount should be reduced such that the gross stipend amount above is not <br /> exceeded. In addition to this amount, Public Allies Silicon Valley/San Francisco is <br /> required to cover the Ally with either worker's compensation insurance or liability <br /> insurance coverage (including accidental death and dismemberment coverage), and <br /> FICA taxes on the stipend as applicable under Federal law. Unemployment insurance <br /> must be paid if required by state law. This stipend payment shall include the Partner <br /> Organization's contribution as outlined in Section I(A)(iii), I(B)(i). <br /> iv. Live Scan fingerprint (DOJ and FBI) each Ally prior to the <br /> Ally's start date; and <br /> v. Provide each Ally with health care benefits under the <br /> approved AmeriCorps sponsored health plan. <br /> B. Duties and Responsibilities of Partner Organization. <br /> Partner Organization shall: <br /> Public Allies Partner Organization Agreement 2010-2011 2 <br />
