RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT CONTINUING <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CITY /COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF <br />GOVERNMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo, and <br />certain other Cities located in the County of San Mateo desire to continue the <br />establishment of a City/County Association of Governments for the purpose of <br />preparing, adopting, monitoring and enforcing certain County-wide State <br />mandated plans; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this Council an <br />agreement pursuant to which the City/County Association of Governments <br />heretofore established pursuant to the Joint Exercise of Powers Act (Govt. C. <br />§6500 et seq.) shall continue in existence. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Joint Powers Agreement — Continuing <br />Establishment of the City /County Association of Governments," (form dated <br />Revised: February, 2003) pursuant to which the City of Redwood City, the <br />County of San Mateo, and other Cities within San Mateo County specified in said <br />agreement shall exercise jointly certain powers with respect to the preparation, <br />adoption, monitoring and enforcement of certain County -wide State mandated <br />plans a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br />copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />F: /Atty /Reso /Reso.1378 1 <br />031703 <br />
