EA21 <br />ATTACHMENT 2 <br />INFORMATIONAL STATEMENT FOR BUSINESSES <br />Introduction <br />The property on which you now conduct your business is in an area to be improved with the <br />assistance of the City of Redwood City ( "City ") for the Downtown Retail- Cinema Project on <br />Broadway ( "Project "). The City's plans require the acquisition of several land parcels and the <br />relocation of existing commercial uses. You will be notified in a timely manner as to the date by <br />which you must move. <br />Please read this information, as it will be helpful to you in determining your eligibility and the <br />amount of your relocation benefits underthe federal and /or state law. We suggest you save this <br />informational statement for reference. <br />This is not a notice to move. It is important that you do not move before you learn what you <br />must do to receive relocation payments and other assistance to which you may be entitled. The <br />City has retained the services of Pacific Relocation Consultants (PRC), a qualified professional <br />relocation firm, to assist you. The firm is available to explain the program and benefits. Payment for your moving expenses. You will receive either: <br />A Payment for Actual Reasonable Moving and Related Expenses, or <br />A Fixed Payment in Lieu of a Payment for Actual Moving and Related Expenses <br />B. Referrals to suitable replacement locations. <br />C. Other help to reestablish your business and minimize the impact of the move including <br />help in preparing claim forms to request relocation payments. <br />If you disagree with the City's decision as to your right to a relocation payment, orthe amount of <br />the payment, you may appeal that decision. <br />
