Unfortunately all of our focal '�, <br /> budgets are experiencing severe fiscal constraints and individual agencies would not <br /> be able to contribute resources without an identified source of additional funding. <br /> The registration and monitoring of sex ofFenders who are not on probation or parole <br /> falls upon local law enforcement as an unfunded State mandate. <br /> 3. Develop a county-wide plan to improve the sharing of information regarding fhe <br /> sexual offender law enforcemenf. <br /> This recommendation has been implemented. There are several initiatives which <br /> wi(1 contribute to data sharing befin�een agencies that are current(y on-line such as <br /> Critical Re�ch, VCIN and Coplink which provide data across our law enforcement <br /> intranet. The Redwood City Police Deparfiment will continue to actively participate <br /> with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in the GPS moni#oring of <br /> active paroled sex offenders, and support the Probation Department's efforts to <br /> monitor offenders on probation. Additionally, we will actively participate in the new <br /> DOJ Sex Offender and Arson Registry as it comes online this year. <br />
