i <br /> 6.2A <br /> Page 3 <br /> RESOLUTIC�N N0. <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 4F <br /> REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATI�N OF � <br /> STOP SIGNS ON ALTAMONT WAY AND LAUREL WAY <br /> AT THE INTERSECTION W[TH HIGHLAND AVENUE <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2B.04 Subsection 04, of the Manua) of Uniform <br /> Traffic Control Devices, states the use of Yield or Stop signs should be <br /> considered at intersections of two minor streets or local roads where the <br /> intersection has more than three approaches and the ability to see conflicting <br /> traffic on an approach is not sufficient to allow a road user to stop or yield in <br /> compliance with the normal right-of-way rule if such stopping or yielding is <br /> necessary; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff's investigation has confirmed the existence of this <br /> condition at the subject site. <br /> NOIN, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDW04D CITY, AS FOLLOWS; <br /> 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 20.34 of the Redwood Cit� <br /> Code, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause stop signs to <br /> be installed and maintained on Altamont Way and Laure!
