� I <br /> 7.A <br /> REP�RT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council � <br /> from the Cit Clerk � <br /> �ctober 25, 2010 ��, <br /> SUBJECT <br /> City Council appointments to the Planning Commission. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Appoint two applicants to the Planning Commission. Council action will be to vote for <br /> two seats that will expire June 30, 2014. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> In 2010 there were finro expiring terms in the Planning Commission. Per Council <br /> Resolution No. 15011 certain terms of inembers of Boards, Commissions and <br /> Committees were extended until budget discussions were concluded. At this point, <br /> mayoral direction has been provided to move forward. <br /> The recruitment period for these seats ran between August 31 and October 4, 2010. <br /> The interviews were held on �ctober 11, 2010. Per the Redwood City Charter, § 17 it is <br /> required that "All members of the commission shall, at the time of their appointments <br /> and continuously during their incumbencies, be residents and electors of the City". All <br /> applicants have been checked for residency and elector statuses. <br /> Applications received for the Planning Commission to fill two seats: <br /> 1. Robert Simms Duncan <br /> 2. Paul Giordano <br /> 3. Oliver R. Gutierrez <br /> 4. Nancy Radcliffe'� <br /> 5. Corrin Rankin <br /> 6. Nicholas A. Rozzi <br /> 7. Randy Tabing �` <br /> 8.
