City Manager Oral Report on Continuation of Local Emergency Status. <br /> Mr. Ingram, City Manager, provided a brief update on the recent events at Redwood <br /> Shores. In regards to calling of an emergency, he explained that the final certified report is <br /> due to the Board on October 10, 2010. He commented that if there are no issues with the <br /> report the emergency will be terminated at the October 11, 2010 meeting. <br /> 6. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. City Council Member Reports of Conference/Meeting. <br /> B. City Participation in Lawsuit Challenging Latest High-Speed Rail Authority EIR <br /> (Environmental Impact Report). This item was addressed prior to item 6.A <br /> Mayor Ira introduced the committee that is composed of Council Members Pierce, Foust <br /> and Gee. Council Member Gee explained that the committee members have been very <br /> active with staff on this matter. The recommendation is to not join the lawsuit because the <br /> subcommittee recommends studying the issues and obtaining facts to engage in an <br /> educated conversation about the possibilities.
