PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Jeff Ira, Vice Mayor <br />4. INVOCATION - Pastor Scott Owens, Fully Alive Community Church <br />5. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS — <br />Ester Souza stated she is the proud mother of U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Andrew <br />Jacob Sterling with the 1 st Marine Division, 3 rd Battalion, 5 th Marines, India Company. <br />She stated that her son is currently in Iraq and that the young men and women in Iraq <br />are concerned about how they will be treated and what the opinions are here <br />stateside. There is a fear of rejection similar to that faced by the service men and <br />women who served in Vietnam.
