719') <br />April 28, 2003 <br />Subject <br />Final Acceptance — Red Morton Skate/Restroom/Concession Facilities Project <br />Engineering File No. 1302 -02 <br />Recommendation <br />Accept the Red Morton Skate/Restroom/Concession Facilities Project, and authorize <br />the release of bonds. <br />Background <br />On June 10, 2002, the City Council awarded a contract to KCK builders of San Rafael, <br />California, for the construction of the Skate Park/Restroom /Concession Facilities <br />project. <br />The Skate Park includes the following structures: <br />➢ Grinding Block <br />Steps <br />— ➢ Panels Quarter Pipe <br />➢ Roll -over Pod <br />➢ Grinding Rail <br />Spines (two quarter pipes back -to -back) <br />The New Prefabricated Restroom includes the following: <br />Standard toilets <br />Wheel chair accessible toilets <br />Lavatory <br />Urinal <br />Mirrors <br />Tissue dispenser <br />Paper towel dispenser <br />z Add -on roof shakes <br />Electronic door locking system <br />Renovation of existing landscape, irrigation system, sewer system, water system, storm <br />drainage system, and installation of remote control irrigation system, new benches, <br />trash receptacles, and sidewalk were also included in this project. <br />The extension of the prefabricated restroom to be used for park equipment storage and <br />a concession stand includes an additional roll -up door, and concession stand counter <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
