- 08/27/01 <br />RE501dT1bli NO A ' 14 3 4:7 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTER <br />WHEREAS, Community Education Center is a private, non - profit organization <br />that provides a quality multicultural preschool experience for children from diverse <br />backgrounds for low- income families in Redwood City, which services are in <br />furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Community Education Center has requested financial assistance <br />for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br />2001 and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires <br />to enter into an agreement with Community Education Center to provide financial <br />assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Community Education Center, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of <br />the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, <br />is hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0109 <br />F. /S h a red /Redwood /Co u nci I <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
