1 <br /> There is excepted from said District all streets and all other <br /> public property in use in the performance of a public function. <br /> Said Council hereby preliminarily determines that it will contri- <br /> bute to the cost of said improvements, the sum of $59,627.93 from gaso- <br /> line tax funds and will pay in cash the assessments attributable to City- <br /> owned property included in assessments numbered 5 and 10 from general <br /> funds and Parking District No. 1 funds, respectively. <br /> Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent the unpaid <br /> assessments of S50.00 or over, bearing interest at the rate of six per- <br /> cent (6%) per annum, will be issued pursuant to provisions of The,Improve- <br /> ment Act of 1911, as embodied in Division 7, Part 5, of the Streets and <br /> Highways Code of the State of California, the last installment of which <br /> bonds shall mature fourteen years from the second day of January next <br /> succeeding the first day of the next September,following their date. <br /> Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 3c,t day of October, 1960, <br /> at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., at the Boa_.a of Supervisors' Chambers, <br /> Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, California, is hereby fixed <br /> as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested may <br /> appear and show cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not, <br /> find and determine that the public convenience and necessity require the <br /> improvements described and referred to in this resolution, without fur- <br /> ther compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation, and <br /> Ma;ority Protest Act of 1931 of the State of California now embodied in <br /> the Streets and Highways Code of California as Division 4 thereof. <br /> The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of this resolution <br /> by publishing a Notice of Proposed Local Improvement once in the Redwood <br /> City Tribune, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, <br /> and by posting same on or near the Council Chamber door of said Council, <br /> said posting and publication to be made at least ten days before the date <br /> of said hearing. <br /> -4- <br />
