C:ek:8 /11/60 -7 <br /> / <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 3180 <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MAJOR <br /> STREET PROJECT NO. 80, BROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS (SECOND <br /> AVENUE TO CHARTER STREET), REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA; <br /> REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR; AND, DIRECTING <br /> RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3147, adopted July 18, <br /> 1960, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> Major City Street Project No. 80, Broadway Improvements (Second <br /> Avenue to Charter Street) in the City of Redwood City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> filed with the City Manager; and, <br /> WHEREAS, BRAGATO PAVING COMPANY, Belmont, California, is <br /> the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> of this Council to award said bid to Bragato Paving Company and <br /> reject all other bids received; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The bid of Bragato Paving Company in the amount of <br /> Thirteen Thousand Four Hundred Ninety -four and 66/100 Dollars <br /> ($13,494.66), more or less, for the construction of Major <br /> City Street Project No. 80, Broadway Improvements (Second <br /> Avenue to Charter Street), Redwood City, according to plans <br /> and specifications therefor heretofore approved by Resolution <br /> No. 3147, at the price quoted in its proposal dated August 9, <br /> 1960, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared <br /> to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> 2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> for the construction of aforementioned work other than the bid <br /> mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> 3.
