R E S O L U T I O N N O. 3178 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND REDWOOD CITY CHAMBER 02 COMMERCE <br /> FOR MAINTENANCE OF INDUSTRIAL AND COMME CIAL DEVEL- <br /> OPMENT PROGRAM IN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that the maintenance <br /> of an industrial and commercial development program for the <br /> City of Redwood City is vital to the present and future well- <br /> being of all segments of the public of the City of Redwood City, <br /> and that such program is in the public interest and results in <br /> public benefit for the whole of the community; and, <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared and submitted to <br /> this Council, by the terms of which the Chamber of Commerce agrees <br /> to continue the promotion and development of the industrial and <br /> commercial economy of the City of Redwood City during the fiscal <br /> year July 1, 1960 -June 30, 1961, a copy of which agreement is <br /> attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein, <br /> and to which reference is hereby made for full particulars <br /> concerning the terms and conditions thereof; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOaS : <br /> That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and <br /> directed to execute the abovementioned agreement for and on <br /> behalf of the City of Redwood City providing for the contribution <br /> by the City of Redwood City to the Redwood City Chamber of <br /> Commerce of a total sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) <br /> during the fiscal year July 1, 1960 -June 30, 1961. <br /> * * * <br />
