// /� • REG:yc :5 /19/60 - 7 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3089 <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION <br /> OF RESURFACING OF STREETS IN DOWNTOWN AREA, <br /> REDWOOD GITY; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; <br /> AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3058, adopted April 25, <br /> 1960, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of re- <br /> surfacing of certain_ streets in the downtown area of Redwood City; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> with the City Manager; and <br /> WHEREAS, DOUGLASS & WOODHOUSE, Redwood City, California, is <br /> the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> of this Council to award said bid to Douglass & Woodhouse, and <br /> reject all other bids received; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The bid of Douglass Woodhouse, in the total amount of <br /> Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Twenty and 66/100 Dollars <br /> (517,520.66), for construction of resurfacing of certain streets <br /> in the downtown area of Redwood City, according to plans and spec- <br /> ifications prepared by the City Engineer, at the unit prices quoted <br /> in its proposal dated May 17, 1960, is hereby accepted and said <br /> bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> 2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> the construction of resurfacing of streets in the downtown area of <br /> Redwood City, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, <br /> are hereby rejected. <br /> 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br /> into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain <br /> agreement entitled "Agreement," between the City of Redwood City <br /> and Douglass &: Woodhouse, as Contractor, for the performance of <br />
