* • • RJC:ek :5 /9/60 -7 R E S O L U T I O N N O. 3084 RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO INSTITUTE ENGINEERING STUDIES PRELIMINARY TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF PROPOSED FLOOD CONTROL ZONE FOR REDWOOD CREEK DRAINAGE AREA PURSUANT TO SAN MATEO COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT ACT WHEREAS, the State Legislature has established a flood control district designated "San Mateo County Flood Control District," and empowered the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo to act as ex officio the Board of Supervisors of said San Mateo County Flood Control District; and, WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors is empowered to initiate and complete such engineering studies as are necessary to define the boundaries of and establish the feasibility of proposed flood control zones within the San Mateo County Flood Control District; and, WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is desirous that said Board of Supervisors exercise its jurisdiction to initiate such engineering studies and surveys as are necessary for consideration of the establishment of a flood control zone for the Redwood Creek drainage area; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RDSOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo as ex officio the Board of Supervisors of said San Mateo County Flood Control District be and they are hereby requested to initiate such engineering studies and surveys as are necessary to define and describe the boundaries of and provide such information necessary or useful for consideration of the establishment of a flood control zone for the Redwood Creek drainage area under the provisions of the San Mateo County Flood Control Act. 2. That nothing herein shall be deemed to waive or modify any rights of the City of Redwood City or the governing body
