- - 411 RJC : ek :5/19/6 0- 7 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3092 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETWEEN DUMBARTON <br /> FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> FOR FURNISHING FIRE PROTECTION BY THE CITY WITHIN <br /> SAID FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT <br /> WHEREAS, the Dumbarton Fire Protection District of the <br /> County of San Mateo, State of California, has requested that the <br /> City of Redwood City furnish fire protection within the limits <br /> of said district; and, <br /> WHEREAS, both District and City are authorized by law to <br /> provide fire protection service within their respective terri- <br /> tories; and, <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to X6,500 et seq of the Government Code <br /> of the State of California, District and City may by agreement <br /> provide for the furnishing of fire protection by City within the <br /> territory of District; and, <br /> WHEREAS, City and District are desirous of contracting <br /> for such fire protection service; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City has been <br /> presented with and has examined an agreement entitled, "Agree- <br /> ment between Dumbarton Fire Protection District and City of <br /> Redwood City for Furnishing Fire Protection Service by said <br /> City within said Fire Protection District," which agreement <br /> provides for the furnishing of said fire protection service by <br /> the City to the District; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and <br /> directed to execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City, that <br /> certain abovementioned agreement entitled "Agreement between <br /> Dumbarton Fire Protection District and City of Redwood City for <br /> Furnishing Fire Protection Service by said City within said <br />
