Unique /Significant value the applicant brings to the board <br />2. Commitment/dedication <br />3. Preparation level, care in application <br />4. Experience with group dynamics <br />S. Wild card — gives council member opportunity to emphasize a <br />preference or just a feeling <br />6. Applicants familiarity with the Board's activities (attended a <br />meeting of the board or has read the minutes) <br />2) Three- minute Presentation on Focus Question to all council members in one <br />session- 2 criteria (also scored 1 -5) <br />Focus auestion: <br />(a) What is your vision for Redwood City and <br />(b) How do you see yoursef contributing towards that vision through this <br />board? <br />II Face to Face Q &A Interview: Select a short list for final interview — 25% of the <br />field for each board; minimum of 3 candidates: These interviews would proceed <br />pretty much the way they have in the past. <br />Preparation /All board applicants get the following in preparation for the process: <br />• Description of board <br />• When the board meets <br />• Where minutes are available if board has minutes <br />❑ List of current members <br />• Criteria/scoring process <br />• List of other volunteer opportunities <br />
