RJC :yc :4/25/60 -7 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N .11-1 411 411 N O. 3061 <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING STUDY IN <br /> CONNECTION WITH BAY AREA RAPID TRANSIT DISTRICT STREET <br /> AND RAIL INTERCHANGES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has received a copy of the <br /> "Grade Separation Study" prepared by Wilsey, Han and Blair, <br /> Engineers, on behalf of the Bay Area Rapid Transit District and <br /> the County of San Mateo; and <br /> WHEREAS, the street -rail interchange solutions proposed by <br /> such study and, particularly, the proposed interchange solutions <br /> for Broadway, Brewster and Jefferson Avenues in the City of Redwood <br /> City will, in the opinion of the City of Redwood City, result in <br /> more damage to existing and future developments and improvements <br /> than the benefits to be received therefrom; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City of Redwood City that <br /> other alternative solutions are available and should be explored; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby urge <br /> that further engineering study be given to the proposed grade <br /> separations of the Southern Pacific Railroad and the Bay Area <br /> Rapid Transit District lines for the purpose of consideration of <br /> partial or complete depression of the two railway lines at <br /> Broadway, Brewster and Jefferson Avenues in the City of Redwood <br /> City. <br /> a. .: <br />
