(1) That said territory is situate immediately adjacent to <br /> and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of <br /> Redwood City; and <br /> (2) That on March 2, 1960, this Council did adopt its Res- <br /> olution No. 2996, entitled "Resolution of the Council of the City <br /> of Redwood City Giving Notice of, and Declaring its Intention to, <br /> Initiate on its own Motion Proceedings to Annex to said City <br /> Certain Uninhabited Territory; Describing said Territory and Des- <br /> ignating it by the name 'Edgewood Annexation No. 1 -1'; Giving its <br /> Reasons for Desiring said Annexation; Making Certain Findings <br /> Respecting said Proceedings; and, Giving Notice of the Time and <br /> Place said Council will hear Protests to said Annexation," wherein <br /> it gave notice of said proposed annexation, described said ter- <br /> ritory and designated it by the above mentioned name, made certain <br /> findings respecting said proposal and gave notice of the time and <br /> place this Council would hear protests thereto; and <br /> (3) That less than twelve (12) registered voters resided <br /> within said territory at the time the above mentioned resolution <br /> was adopted by this Council, and that said territory is therefore <br /> uninhabited; and <br /> (4) That this Council did in said Resolution No. 2996, set <br /> and designate April 18, 1960, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., in the <br /> Board of Supervisors' Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, <br /> Redwood City, San Mateo County, California, as the day, hour, and <br /> place when and where said Council would hear protests against said <br /> annexation; and <br /> (5) That none of the territory within the boundaries of the <br /> territory proposed to be annexed is owned by a junior college <br /> district; and <br /> -2- <br />
