RE G: y c: M.1 /6 0- 7 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 3038 <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING OF liEd <br /> VEHICLES, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED, AND <br /> AUTr'ORIZING ADDITIONAL BIDS <br /> — LEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3007, adopted March 7, <br /> 1960, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of five <br /> new vehicles for municipal purposes in accordance with the spec- <br /> ifications therefor; and <br /> hJTEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> with the City I 1anager; and <br /> WHEREAS, DAVIES AUTO COI:PANY, Redwood City California, is <br /> the lowest responsible bidder for Items I, II and III, 1/2 Ton <br /> Pickup Truck, Four Door Utility or Ranch Type Wage, and One Ton <br /> Flatbed Truck, FERRIS MILES EQUIPMENT CO., INC., Redwood City, <br /> California, is the lowest responsible bidder for Item V, 4 cu. yd. <br /> Dump Truck, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> award said bids to Davies Auto Company for Items I, II and III, <br /> and Ferris Niles Equipment Co., Inc. for Item V, and reject all <br /> other bids received; and <br /> WHEREAS, due to an apparent ambiguity or uncertainty in the <br /> specifications for Item IV, Four Wheel Drive Pickup Truck, it is <br /> the intention of this Council to award no contract and to authorize <br /> and direct the City Clerk to readvertise for bids for the furn- <br /> ishing of said equipment; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The bid of Davies Auto Company for the furnishing of a <br /> new 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck to the City of Redwood City, according <br /> to Item I of the specifications heretofore approved by Resolution <br /> No. 3007, at the price quoted in its proposal, to -wit: One Thousand <br />
