08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT WITH CASA DE REDWOOD <br />WHEREAS, Casa de Redwood is a private, non - profit organization that <br />provides low and moderate income elderly persons with housing and services to <br />meet their physical, social and psychological needs and to promote their health <br />security, happiness and usefulness, which services are in furtherance of the <br />public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Casa de Redwood has requested financial assistance for use <br />by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2001 <br />and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to enter into an agreement with Casa de Redwood to provide financial <br />assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Casa de Redwood, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is <br />hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0107 <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
