DODGE ON TIE OCCASION OF HIS i ETI1 EM NT FROM <br /> T TE POSITION OF CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER <br /> WHEREAS, the retirement of Ralph S. Dodge on ilarch 31, 1960, <br /> marks the end of nearly eighteen years of faithful and dedicated <br /> public service as City Clerk and City Treasurer of the City of <br /> Redwood City; and <br /> OF REAS, Ralph Dodge has, throughout his long and distin- <br /> guished career, won the respect and admiration of all who have <br /> come in contact with him and will always be remembered for his <br /> courtesy and conscientious assistance; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ralph Dodge, a native of Redwood City, received his <br /> education in this City and has long been active in various civic <br /> organizations in this City and has been a leading participant in <br /> civic affairs during a period which has seen Redwood City grow <br /> from a small City of 12,000 persons to the present bustling com- <br /> munity of nearly 45,000 persons; <br /> NOW, TNEREF ORE : <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That the Council of Redwood City, on behalf of the grateful <br /> citizens of this City, extend their sincere congratulations to <br /> Ralph S. Dodge on the occasion of his retirement from the position <br /> of City Clerk and City Treasurer and commend Ralph Dodge for the <br /> outstanding and devoted manner in which he has performed his <br /> duties. <br />
