03/10/03 <br />0'g''I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14512 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY - <br />OWNED PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE <br />THEREOF <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns that certain personal property <br />described as one 1984 Teco aerial lift truck, and more fully described on Exhibit <br />"A," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such property is not <br />needed for present or prospective municipal or public purposes, and should be <br />declared surplus; and <br />WHEREAS, the Government Code Section 37351 and Section 3 -1/2 of <br />the Charter of the City of Redwood City permits the sale of any City property <br />having an appraised value of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) or more through <br />pubic notice or public bid; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has appraised said property and determined that the <br />current reasonable market value of the total of each of the surplus items to be <br />sold as a unit is more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000); and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to declare said <br />property surplus and authorize its sale in accordance with Section 3 -1/2 of the <br />Charter of the City of Redwood City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />F:Atty /Reso /Reso.1373 1 <br />030303 <br />
