RJ •ek:2j1 /60 -? <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. _2974: <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR LEASE OF LAND AND IMPROVE- <br /> MENTS AT CORNER OF MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AND JEFFERSON AVENUE, <br /> REDWOOD CITY, TO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution No. 2965, adopted <br /> January 18, 1960, bids were called for the proposed lease of that <br /> certain City -owned parcel of real property together with improve- <br /> ments thereon situated at the corner of Middlefield Road and <br /> Jefferson Avenue, Redwood City, California (1006 Middlefield <br /> Road, Redwood City); and, <br /> WHEREAS, said call for bids was published in accordance with <br /> law; and, <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said call one bid was received from the <br /> Chamber of Commerce of Redwood City in the amount of one dollar <br /> ($1.00) per year for a term of ten years; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this Council finds that it is in the best interests <br /> of the City of Redwood City to award said bid to the Chamber of <br /> Commerce of Redwood City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce of Redwood City is the <br /> highest responsible bidder; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The bid of the Chamber of Commerce of Redwood City in <br /> the amount of one dollar ($1.00) per year for a term of ten (10) <br /> years for the lease of land and improvements at the corner of <br /> Middlefield Road and Jefferson Avenue, Redwood City, in response <br /> to and in accordance with and subject to the terms and conditions <br /> of said call for bids is hereby accepted and determined to be the <br /> highest responsible bid. <br /> 2. That certain lease agreement entitled "Lease," a copy of <br /> which is on file with the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br /> hereby made for full particulars concerning the terms and conditions <br />
