REG:yc :2 /3/60 -7 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 2978 and 2979 <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CCNTRACT FOR FURNISHING OF NEW <br /> TRUCKS; AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED <br /> r No. January WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution Ro. 2962, adopted January 11, <br /> 1960, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of two <br /> new trucks for municipal purposes in accordance with the spec- <br /> ifications therefor; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> with the City Manager; and <br /> WHE FERRIS MILES EQUIPMENT CO., INC., Redwood City, <br /> California, is the lowest responsible bidder for Item 1, 4 cu. yd. <br /> 19,500 G.V.W. Dump Truck and DAVIES AUTO COMPANY, Redwood City, <br /> California, is the lowest responsible bidder for Item 2, 4 cu. yd. <br /> 19,500 G.V.W. Dump Truck, and it is the intention and desire of <br /> this Council to award said bids to Ferris Miles Equipment Co., <br /> Inc. for Item 1 and Davies Auto Company for Item 2 and reject <br /> all other bids received; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THR COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The bid of Ferris Miles Equipment Co., Inc. for the <br /> furnishing of a new 4 cu. yd. 19,500 G.V.W. Dump Truck to the <br /> City of Redwood City, according to Item 1 of the specifications <br /> heretofore approved by Resolution No. 2962, at the price quoted <br /> in its proposal, including the trade -in of Truck No. 97, to -wit: <br /> Three Thousand Five Hundred Seventy -One and 08/100 Dollars is <br /> hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the <br /> lowest responsible bidder with respect to said Item 1. <br /> 2. The bid of Davies Auto Company for the furnishing of a <br /> new 4 cu. yd. 19,500 G.V.W. Dump Truck to the City of Redwood <br /> City, according to Item 2 of the specifications heretofore ap- <br /> proved by Resolution No. 2962, at the price quoted in its <br />
