NDINTS TO THE CHARTER OF TI± CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AND ORDERING THE SUBMISSION THEREOF TO <br /> THE ELECTORS AT THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE <br /> HELD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ON APRIL 12, 1960 <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City does <br /> hereby propose that the following amendments be made to the <br /> Charter of the City of Redwood City and does hereby order that <br /> such proposals shall be submitted to the electors at the general <br /> municipal election to be held in the City of Redwood City on <br /> Tuesday, April 12, 1960. Said proposed amendments are as follows, <br /> to wit: <br /> CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSAL NO. 1 <br /> Section 3 -1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 3 -1/2. ACQUISITION AND DISPOSAL OF PROPERTY: <br /> Public notice shall be given by publication in the <br /> official newspaper once at least five (5) days prior to the <br /> acquisition of any real property when the purchase price to <br /> be paid by the City equals or exceeds the sum of Two Thousand <br /> Dollars 02,000), unless such acquisition is to be accomplished <br /> pursuant to the general laws of the State by condemnation in <br /> eminent domain proceedings, or unless such acquisition is <br /> necessary in connection with public improvement proceedings <br /> accomplished pursuant to law. <br /> Any sale or lease of City owned property shall be <br /> accomplished in accordance with the following procedure: <br /> (a) Public notice of any proposed sale or lease of <br /> City property shall be given at least once a week <br />
