• (6) That none of the territory within the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed is owned by a junior college dis- trict; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 35007 of the Government Code of the State of California the Council, by Resolution No. 2991, adopted February 25, 1960, has terminated annexation pro- ceedings taken in connection with Edgewood Annexation No. 1 -B; and WHEREAS, this Council duly met and convened at said time and place for the purpose of hearing and passing upon all protests to said proposed annexation, and to the time(s) and place(s) to which said hearing was continued, and has at the hearing in open public session duly asked for protests, if any, to the proposed annexa- tion and has given all persons full opportunity to protest said annexation and has received evidence relevant to such annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, said Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby find and determine that protest to the proposed annexation to the City of Redwood City of the territory designated "Edgewood Annexation No. 1 -B" and more fully described in that certain Res- olution No. 2954, entitled "Resolution of the Council of the City of Redwood City Giving Notice of, and Declaring its Intention to, Initiate on its own Motion Proceedings to Annex to said City Cer- tain Uninhabited Territory; Describing said Territory and Designa- ting it by the Name tEdgewood Annexation No. 1 -Bt; Giving its Reasons for Desiring said Annexation; Making Certain Findings Respecting said Proceedings; and, Giving Notice of the Time and Place said Council will hear Protests to said Annexation," adopted by said Council on the 7th day of January, 1960, has not been made by the owners of one -half of the value of private property within the said designated territory as shown by the last equalized as- sessment roll of the County of San Mateo, California, nor by public owners equal to one -half of the value of public property within said territory as said value has been determined by said Council. -3-
