y / <br /> REG: c :12 /59 -7 2 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 2924 <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer has advised this Council that the <br /> hereinafter described public utility easement is no longer necessary <br /> or needed for public municipal purposes; and <br /> W- IEREAS, the easement was designated as such on that map <br /> entitled "Steven Tract," recorded in Book 48 of Maps at page 43, <br /> Records of San Mateo County, State of California, and has not been <br /> used as such since that date; and <br /> WHEREAS, the easement is unnecessary for present or prospec- <br /> tive public use; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the Pacific <br /> Telephone and Telegraph Company have signified their approval to the <br /> abandonment of said easement; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article 5 (commencing at Section 50430) of Chapter 2, <br /> Part 1, Division 1, Title 5 of the Government Code provides a pro- <br /> cedure for the vacation of easements by local authorities; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby declares <br /> its intention to abandon the hereinafter described public utility <br /> easement pursuant to the before mentioned Government Code provisions. <br /> 2. The above mentioned public utility easement, a plan of <br /> which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, is described as <br /> follows: <br /> That certain five (5) foot wire clearance easement and <br /> the northeasterly five (5) feet of the ten (10) foot <br /> public utilities easement which extends along the south- <br /> westerly boundary line of Lot 10 of Block 2; said wire <br />
