Nika presented Council Member Howard with a flowering plant for her <br />efforts. <br />Jim Beeger stated that our parade is a hometown parade and without the Veterans <br />we would not be celebrating he 4 th of July. <br />Council Member Ruskin explained that he had a conversation with George Johnson <br />on the telephone and subsequent to that, had put in a call to Bill Anderson, member <br />of the Executive Committee of the PCA which controls the parade. Council Member <br />expressed his hope that something could be worked out and that there is a meeting <br />on the morning of June 3 that he hopes will produce common ground. <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and <br />are enacted by one motion and one vote. <br />M/S Howard /Hartnett to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br />by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The <br />motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />7.1 Section - Motions <br />A. Motion to approve the Minutes of May 12, 2003 as submitted. <br />MINUTE ORDER 03 -114 <br />B. Water Conservation — New Commercial High Efficiency Clothes Washer Rebate <br />Program <br />1. Authorize the City Manager to sign Memorandum of Understanding, to <br />participate in the regional commercial high- efficiency clothes washer program <br />2. Authorize funding in the amount of $75,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2003/2004 <br />3. Set City's rebate amount per machine at $300.00. <br />MINUTE ORDER 03 -115 <br />C. Water Conservation — Continue High Efficiency Clothes Washer Rebate Program <br />1. Authorize an increase to the rebate funding for Fiscal Year 2002/2003 from <br />$66,900.00 to $79,500.00 representing an increase in the number of rebates <br />from 446 to 530 <br />2. Authorize City Manager to sign application to continue participation in the <br />regional high - efficiency clothes washer rebate program with funding in the <br />amount of $97,110.00 for Fiscal Year 2003/2004 <br />3.
