O R I G I N A L 08/27/01 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14343 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE, <br />REPLACMENT AND /OR REPAIR OF VARIOUS SIZED WATER, <br />STORM AND SANITARY SEWER PUMPS AND FLAP GATES IN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of Section 2.65 of the Redwood City <br />Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published for the <br />purchase, replacement and /or repair of pumps for the various pump stations, <br />and flap gates in the City of Redwood; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publications one bid was received; and <br />WHEREAS, Pump Repair Service Company of Daly City, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder for the purchase, replacement and /or repair of pumps <br />and flap gates, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the bid <br />of Pump Repair Service Company; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Pump Repair Service Company, in the total amount of <br />Two Hundred Fourteen Thousand Three Hundred and No /100 Dollars <br />($214,300), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated July 23, <br />2001, for the purchase, replacement and /or repair of water, storm and sanitary <br />sewer pumps, which bid is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br />reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and <br />F:Atty2001 Shared /Redwood /Council /Reso /Reso -1223 1 <br />
