6.1 D <br /> Page 6 <br /> ARTICLE II <br /> MEMBERSHIP <br /> Section 2.1 Membership <br /> The Committee is composed of five voting members as follows: <br /> Four members shall possess current experience in one of following six areas of <br /> expertise: general construction contractor, manager or other executive of a financial <br /> institution with experience in credit/underwriting, official from a title company, licensed <br /> appraiser, residential real estate professional, and/or attorney in rea! estate law or <br /> related field. These members shal! either reside or conduct their related business <br /> activities associated with the expertise criteria in Redwood City or within the sphere of <br /> influence. <br /> One member shall be an interested and committed Redwood City resident. <br /> Section 2.2 Appointment of Members <br /> Voting members shall be appointed directly by the City Council. The Council shall <br /> consider the range of expertise criteria when making appointments to ensure adequate <br /> committee efficacy. <br /> Section 2.3 Powers of Individual Members <br /> Individual members shall act as members of the Committee and the individual members <br /> shall have no individual power. <br /> Section 2.4 Term of Office <br /> Terms of office for voting members will be staggered. Committee members shall be <br /> appointed to four-yea� terms. <br /> Section 2.5 Resignation <br /> Any member may resign at any time by giving written notice of such resignation to the <br /> Chairperson and to the City Council. Such notice shall take effect at the time specified <br /> in the notice. <br /> Section 2.6 Attendance <br /> Any member who has three (3) consecutive absences from regularly scheduled <br /> meetings without providing the chairperson of the Committee with prior notice, or any <br /> member who has five (5) absences from regularly scheduled meetingS in any <br /> 3 <br />
