1 <br /> 4 1 <br /> There is excepted from said District all streets and <br /> all other public property in use in the performance of a <br /> public function. <br /> Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent <br /> the unpaid assessments of $50.00 or over, bearing interest at <br /> the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum, will be issued <br /> pursuant to provisions of The Improvement Act of 1911, as <br /> embodied in Division 7, Part 5, of the Streets and Highways <br /> Code of the State of California, the last installment of which <br /> bonds shall mature fourteen years from the second day of <br /> January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next October <br /> following their date. <br /> Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 26th day of <br /> October, 1959, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M., at the Board <br /> of Supervisors' Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood <br /> City, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when <br /> and where any and all persons interested may appear and show <br /> cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not find <br /> and determine that the public convenience and necessity require <br /> the improvements described and referred to in this resolution, <br /> without further compliance with the Special Assessment, <br /> Investigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest Act of 1931 of <br /> the State of California now embodied in the Streets and Highways <br /> Code of California as Division 4 thereof. <br /> The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of this <br /> resolution by publishing a Notice of Proposed Local Improvement <br /> once in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published <br /> and circulated in said City, and by posting same on or near <br /> the Council Chamber door of said Council, said posting and <br /> publication to be made at least ten days before the date of <br /> said hearing. <br /> .5 <br />
