AEC:yc:9 /21/59 -7 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 2 873 <br /> RESOLUTION !DECLARING TER INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF <br /> THIS CITY y OF RED' OOD CITY TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION <br /> PROCEEDI `GS T ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY TI COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That the Council of the City of Redwood City, for the <br /> reasons hereinafter mentioned, propose to initiate on its own <br /> motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to <br /> the City of Redwood City all of the territory hereinafter des- <br /> cribed, as uninhabited territory, under provisions of the Annexa- <br /> tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sec- <br /> tions 35300 to 35325, inclusive, of the Government lode of the <br /> State of California. <br /> 2. That the Council's reasons for proposing to initiate <br /> said annexation proceedings are as follows: The annexation of <br /> the hereinafter described territory will contribute to the orderly <br /> growth of the City, provide the proper control of street layout, <br /> drainage, sanitary sewer design, and insure the proper use of <br /> land in confo.e•mity with the overall zoning plan of the City. <br /> 3. That the territory which the Council proposed to annex <br /> is hereby identified as "BRESSO A VEXATION," and consists of all <br /> that real property situate in the County of San Mateo, State of <br /> California, described as follows: <br /> All of Lot 7 in '=lock 2 as designated on that map entitled <br /> "Woodacre Knolls, San Mateo County, California," filed <br /> September 15, 1924, in the office of the recorder of San <br /> Nate() County in rook 11 of Laps at Pages 69 and 70. <br /> L.. That the City Manager of the City of Redwood City is <br /> hereby directed to file with the 3oundar;r CorLriission of the <br /> County of San Mateo, State of California, a proposal to initiate <br /> proceedings to annex said hereinabove described uninhabited ter- <br /> ritory to the City of Redwood City, along with a metes and <br /> bounds description thereof, and to request a report by the <br /> Commission as provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code. <br />
