R E S O L U T I O N N O. 621 <br /> RESOLUTION A!�uARDING CONTRACT <br /> Johnson Street 1948 -4 <br /> uJH -]REAS the Council of the City of Redwood City did in <br /> open session on the llth day of October, 1948, publicly open, ex- <br /> amine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the fol- <br /> lowing work and making the following improvements in the City of <br /> Redwood City, to -wit: <br /> (a) Grading and construction of pavement, curbs <br /> and gutters, sidewalks, and driveway approaches <br /> on Johnson Street, between Roosevelt and Oak <br /> Avenue s; <br /> (b) Construction of storm drainage structures at <br /> intersections of Johnson Street with Roosevelt <br /> Avenue and Oak Avenue. <br /> RESOLVED, that said Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> hereby rejects all said proposals or bids except that next herein <br /> mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and <br /> making said improvements to the lowest, regular, responsible bidder, <br /> to -wit: Douglass and Woodhouse, a partnership, at the prices named <br /> in their bid. <br /> The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice of <br /> this award twice in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper <br /> (except Sunday), published, printed and circulated in said City of <br /> Redwood City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the Council <br /> of said City. <br /> Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood <br /> City at a regular meeting thereof held on the llth day of October, <br /> 1948, by the fol vote: <br /> AYS, and In favor of the passa -e and adoption of the fore- <br /> going resolution: Councilmen: Granger, Holmquist, Spillers <br /> and }Herder. <br /> NOES, Councilmen: None <br /> ABS> ENT, Councilmen: Britschgi, Morgan and Swift <br /> Al <br /> Uayor of the City of Redwood City <br /> Attest. <br /> I hereby approve the foregoing <br /> resolution this / -,4/ day of <br /> Clerk . the City ,.
