• • <br /> 160 ARTICLE 4 SCOPE OF AGREEMENT <br /> 161 4.01 SCOPE OF AGREEMENT <br /> 162 A. Through this Agreement, Agency grants to Contractor an exclusive franchise, <br /> 163 except as provided in subsection B and in Section 4.02, to Collect the following <br /> 164 materials in the Service Area: <br /> 165 1. Solid Waste generated at Residential Premises, Commercial Premises and <br /> 166 Agency Facilities; and <br /> 167 2. Source Separated Targeted Recyclable Materials and Source Separated Organic <br /> 168 Materials generated at Residential Premises. <br /> 169 B. Through this Agreement, Agency grants to Contractor a non - exclusive right to <br /> 170 Collect the following materials in the Service Area: <br /> 171 1. Source Separated Targeted Recyclable Materials and Source Separated Organic <br /> 172 Materials generated at Commercial Premises; <br /> 173 2. Major Appliances and Specialty Recyclable or Reusable Materials generated at <br /> 174 Residential Premises; <br /> 175 3. Non - putrescible wastes placed in Drop Boxes. <br /> 176 4.02 LIMITATIONS ON SCOPE <br /> 177 Agency may permit the Collection, Recycling or Disposal of any of the following <br /> 178 materials by Persons other than Contractor without seeking or securing any approval <br /> 179 from Contractor: <br /> 180 A. Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials which are <br /> 181 transported personally by the Owner or Occupant of the Premises at which they are <br /> 182 generated (or by his or her employees) to a processing or Disposal facility; <br /> 183 B. Targeted Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials which are Source Separated <br /> 184 by the Generator and donated to youth, civic, or charitable organizations; <br /> 185 C. Recyclable beverage containers delivered for Recycling under the California <br /> 186 Beverage Container Recycling Litter Reduction Act, Section 14500 et seq. <br /> 187 California Public Resources Code; <br /> 188 D. Animal waste and remains from slaughterhouse or butcher shops, grease waste, <br /> 189 and used cooking oil; <br /> 190 E. By- products of sewage treatment including sludge, sludge ash, grit, and screenings; <br /> 191 F. Hazardous Waste, Household Hazardous Waste, and Infectious Waste; <br /> 192 G. Source Separated E -Scrap and Source Separated Universal Waste; <br /> 193 H. Organic Materials composted at Residential and Commercial Premises; <br /> 194 I. Materials generated by State facilities (including public schools), provided that the <br /> 195 Generator has arranged services with other Persons or has arranged services with <br /> 196 the Contractor through a separate agreement; <br /> Franchise Agreement for Collection Services with Recology San Mateo County <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> ATTY /AGR/20I 0.014 <br /> 040510 Page 8 of 115 <br />
