Utility service customers who are delinquent in payment of utility bills after thirty (30) calendar days from mailing of the initial utility bill shall be mailed a first reminder notice. i. Said notice shall be mailed to the utility bill customer a minimum of thirty-one (31) calendar days from the date of the mailing of the initial utility bill. ii. Said notice shall state that the invoiced amount is to be paid within ten (10) calendar days of the mailing of this first reminder notice. b. Utility service customers who fail to pay the delinquent utility bill within the time established by the first reminder notice shall be mailed a second reminder notice. i. Said second reminder notice shall be mailed to the utility bill customer a minimum of ten (10) calendar days from the date of mailing of the first reminder notice. ii. Said second reminder notice shall state that the invoiced amount is to be paid within seven (7) calendar days of the date of this second reminder notice. iii. Said second reminder notice shall state that the failure to pay the invoiced amount within the seven (7) calendar day period set forth in 2.b.ii., above, will result in termination of utility services. The foregoing termination of service may be waived by the Director if the facts relating to a particular situation demonstrate a justifiable reason for the failure to make a timely payment. 3. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to implement and enforce the collection of the charges approved and established hereby; provided that nothing herein contained shall be deemed to limit the authority of the Director of Finance to enforce the collection of unpaid delinquent fees and charges by judicial proceedings. * ATTY /RESO /RES0.1782 14840 012808 MUFF 805
