• <br /> • • <br /> 946 each Event to ensure all Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials <br /> 947 Collection locations (i.e., Containers that are placed on -site for use by event patrons) are <br /> 948 kept clean and uncontaminated; to empty or exchange Containers as the need arises; <br /> 949 and to respond to overages or spills. <br /> 950 Within ten (10) Business Days of Contractor receiving a request to supply an Event with <br /> 951 Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, Organic Materials Collection services, the <br /> 952 Contractor will either meet with or schedule a meeting with the Event organizer to <br /> 953 discuss the Event's parameters, including location, number of people attending, type of <br /> 954 Event, type of food being provided, and other related issues. Once parameters of the <br /> 955 Event are determined, proper Containers will be provided by Contractor, with emphasis <br /> 956 on recycling and diversion of the materials generated. <br /> 957 Contractor shall also supply and staff an information booth at each Venue and Event, <br /> 958 upon request from Agency. In addition, Contractor shall prepare and distribute <br /> 959 information to the public at Venues and Events describing the Collection options <br /> 960 available at the Venue or Event and promoting Recycling programs in the Agency, upon <br /> 961 request from Agency. All information prepared for distribution to Venues and Events <br /> 962 shall be approved by Agency prior to distribution. The Contractor shall report the <br /> 963 Tonnage of material Collected at each Venue and Event to the Agency and, upon <br /> 964 Agency request, to the Event organizer. <br /> 965 For Venues and Events which are required to comply with the Large Venues and Events <br /> 966 Recycling Law, codified at Public Resources Code Section 42648 et seq., Contractor <br /> 967 shall assist the Venue or Event organizer in preparing a Recycling plan and reporting all <br /> 968 information required by those provisions of the law. Contractor shall be required to <br /> 969 provide, at a minimum, the following information for each Venue or Event: <br /> 970 1. List of qualifying large Venues and Events in Service Area. <br /> 971 2. Physical and mailing address. <br /> 972 3. Contact name, address, phone number and email address. <br /> 973 4. Type of Venue or Event (e.g., museum, concert, sporting event). <br /> 974 5. Status of the Venue or Event written waste diversion /Recycling plan. <br /> 975 6. A description of the extent in which the plan has been implemented. <br /> 976 7. Service level provided (i.e., Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials and Organic <br /> 977 Materials). <br /> 978 8. Tons disposed and diverted, by material type. <br /> 979 9. Description of the scope and types of diversion programs provided. <br /> 980 10. Other information required by law. <br /> 981 For Agency- sponsored Venues and Events listed in Attachment C, Contractor shall <br /> 982 provide the Collection services required by this Section at no charge to the Agency or <br /> 983 the Event organizer. Agency may add additional events to those listed in Attachment C <br /> 984 or modify this list if events change during the Term. If the number of events listed in <br /> 985 Attachment C increases during the Term, Contractor shall be entitled to receive <br /> 986 compensation for the number of events provided service each Rate Year based on the <br /> 987 cost for additional events specified in Attachment Q. , For other Venues and Events, <br /> Franchise Agreement for Collection Services with Recology San Mateo County <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> ATTY /AGR/2010.014 <br /> 040510 Page 26 of 115 <br />
