C, *Ili \ <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> 4.. <br /> EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is entered into as of the 10th day of June, 2008, by <br /> and between the City of Redwood City, a Charter City and Municipal Corporation <br /> of the State of California ( "City ") and Peter C. Ingram ( "Employee "). <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, the City is desirous of employing Employee as the City <br /> Manager for the City of Redwood City and Employee is desirous of serving as <br /> the City Manager of City and performing the services required thereof under the <br /> terms and conditions set forth herein. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> 1. Commencing June 10, 2008, Employee shall be employed as the City <br /> Manager of the City and shall perform those duties of the City Manager as <br /> specified in City's Charter, Municipal Code and regulations or statutes as <br /> well as such other lawful duties assigned to the Employee by the City <br /> Council. <br /> 2. Employee shall be paid $17,625.00 per month, payable in installments at <br /> the same time other City executive management employees are paid. <br /> Employee shall receive a City contribution equal to 4% of base salary into <br /> a deferred compensation plan. The City contribution into the deferred <br /> compensation plan will be payable in installments at the same time base <br /> salary is paid to employee. <br /> 3. By no later than June 30 of each calendar year, the City Council shall <br /> evaluate Employee's performance and may adjust Employee's annual <br /> salary based upon his performance. The City Council shall provide <br /> Employee with its written comments, if any, and may discuss its evaluation <br /> with him as determined by either the City Council or the Employee. <br /> 4. Employee shall be entitled to the benefits specified in City of Redwood <br /> City Executive Management Summary of Benefits (Dated August, 2007) <br /> as the same now exists or is hereafter amended, which is attached hereto <br /> as Exhibit A and incorporated herein. <br /> 5. Employee is an at -will employee of the City and nothing in this document <br /> shall prevent, limit or otherwise interfere with the right of the City Council <br /> to terminate the services of Employee at any time, subject to the <br /> provisions of Section 6. <br /> I I <br /> Atty /Agr/2008.035 <br /> 052108 1 <br />
