12/21 /2010 <br /> construction or operation of redevelopment projects located within its jurisdiction, any <br /> public body, upon the terms and with or without consideration as it determines, may sell, <br /> convey or lease any of its property to a redevelopment agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, in furtherance of providing a viable alternative site for the <br /> Replacement Jail Facilities located outside the downtown area of the Redevelopment <br /> Project, City has approved and authorized conveyance of the City Strips Property to the <br /> Agency for subsequent conveyance of such land by Agency to the County, subject to <br /> certain conditions; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 33391(a) of the Community Redevelopment Law provides, <br /> in part, that within the survey area or for purposes of redevelopment an agency may <br /> acquire by gift, grant, bequest, devise or otherwise any real or personal property, any <br /> interest in property, and any improvements on it; and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to carry out the goals and objectives of the Redevelopment <br /> Plan within the downtown area, Agency wishes to accept conveyance of the City Strips <br /> Property in order to provide all the land required by the County to develop the <br /> Replacement Jail Facilities on the Woodhouse Industrial Park Property; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The Agency hereby approves and authorizes acceptance of <br /> conveyance of the City Strips Property from the City, by grant deed, for the purposes of <br /> Agency conveying the City Strips Property to the County in furtherance of the goals and <br /> objectives of the Redevelopment Plan for the downtown area. <br /> Section 2.
