izizvzo�o <br /> WHEREAS, in furtherance of providing a viable alternative site for the <br /> Replacement Jail Facilities located outside the downtown area of the Redevelopment <br /> Project, City has approved and authorized conveyance of the City Strips Property to the <br /> Agency and Agency has approved and authorized acceptance of conveyance ofthe <br /> City Strips Property for purposes of subsequently conveying such land to the County, <br /> subject to certain conditions; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 33430 of the Community Redevelopment Law provides, in <br /> part, that within the survey area or for purposes of redevelopment an agency may sell, <br /> lease for a period not to exceed 99 years, exchange, subdivide, transfer, assign or <br /> otherwise dispose of any real or personal property or any interest in property by gift, <br /> grant, bequest, devise or otherwise; and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to carry out the goals and objectives of the Redevelopment <br /> Plan within the downtown area, the Agency, subject to certain conditions, wishes to <br /> convey by grant deed the City Strips Property to County for the purpose of providing <br /> County with the additional land required by the County to develop the Replacement Jail <br /> Facilities on the Woodhouse Industrial Park Property; <br /> . NOW THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The Agency hereby approves and authorizes conveyance, by grant <br /> deed, of the City Strips Property to the County of San Mateo for purposes of carrying <br /> out the goals and objectives of the Redevelopment Plan for the downtown area, subject <br /> to satisfaction of the following conditions: <br /> a. County shall have closed escrow for the purchase of the <br /> � Woodhouse Industrial Park Property; <br /> b. The Woodhouse Industrial Park Property shall be vacant and free <br /> of possession of any tenants or other occupants. <br /> c. All existing improvements on the Woodhouse Industrial Park <br /> Property shall have been demolished. <br /> d. All permits required for construction of the Replacement Jail <br /> Facilities or other County public use shall have been obtained by <br /> the County. <br /> e. County shall have completed environmental review of the proposed <br /> Replacement Jail Facilities on the Woodhouse Industrial Park <br /> Property in accordance with the California Environmental Quality <br /> Act. <br /> Upon satisfaction or waiver by the City Manager of the conditions in b. through e. <br /> above, County shall accept conveyance of the City Strips Property by a Grant Deed that <br /> shall include a reverter clause in favor of the Agency in the event the Woodhouse <br /> ATTY/RESO/RF50.2074 RD N 720.11 <br /> 112910 2 MUFF k 401 <br />
