Based on the Peninsula Traffic
Congestion Relief Alliance employer database, approximately 4,500 potential users are located
along the Mid Point Caltrain Shuttle route in addition to another 8,000 future users expected
when the build out of Stanford's Medicine Outpatient Center is completed.
Please find enclosed a copy of a letter from SamTrans indicating their support of the shuttle
service, and letters from employers expressing support for continued service.
The City of Redwood City will continue to evaluate the success of the program utilizing C /CAG's
current service efficiency guidelines which stipulate per rider costs not to exceed $6 and a
minimum of 10 riders per service hour. This service currently meets C /CAG's efficiency
standard.
Thank you for your consideration of this grant application request. Please contact Peter
Vorametsanti directly at (650) 780 -7388 if you have any questions.
Regards,
Peter Ingram
City Manager
c: C.
