2002~03 <br /> Changes in Revenues <br /> <br />4. Community Development Services <br /> A. The City Council approved a contract on October 7, 2002 with 45,000 <br /> Freeman, Tung and Bottomley for a variety of urban design <br /> and planning services, a portion of which ($45,000) will be <br /> reimbursed by Abbott Labs. <br /> <br />Total General Fund ~460,459 <br />FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT GRANTS <br /> <br />1. The Police Department received a federal youth enforcement 43,000 <br /> program grant for the Police Activities League program. <br /> <br />2. The Police Department received a federal law enforcement 64,982 <br /> block grant, which is to be used for training and equipment purchases. <br /> <br />3. The Police Department received a 2002 federal law enforcement block 7,220 <br />grant which requires matching funds from the City. This amount <br />is the City's match. <br /> <br /> Total Federal Law Enforcement ~ 115,202 <br /> <br />CAPTIAL OUTLAY FUND <br /> <br />1. On March 24, 2003 the City Council approved an $8 million loan 8,000,000 <br />from the water enterprise fund, internal services fund, and <br />self-insurance fund to the City's capital project fund to provide <br />the financial resources needed to undertake the land acquisitions <br />of privately-owned properties on block 2 for the cinema/retail project. <br /> <br />2. The millennium tree-planting grant was $140,000.
