S~C:djg-c 6/18/82 <br /> <br />persons into the Redevelopment Project No. 2 and relocation <br />assistance rules, as required by the Community Redevelopment <br />Law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has considered the Report and <br />recommendations of the Planning Commission, the Redevelopment <br />Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 2 and its economic feasibi- <br />lity, and the Environmental Impact Report prepared therefor, <br />and has provided an opportunity for all persons to be heard, <br />and has received and considered all evidence and testimony <br />presented for or against any and all aspects of Redevelopmemt <br />Project No. 2; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose and intent of this Council with <br />respect to Redevelopment Project No. 2 is to: <br /> <br /> (a) Eliminate and prevent the spread of blighting <br /> influences including the vacant and underutilized land <br /> and deteriorating buildings, inadequate transportation, <br /> sewer, water and drainage, and other environmental, <br /> economic and social deficiencies; <br /> <br /> (b) Provide the framework and infrastructure for <br /> restoring economic health to the Project Area and its <br /> environs; and <br /> <br /> (c) Stimulate commercial and industrial development <br /> within Project No. 2 and the community. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. This Council hereby designates the Redevelop- <br />ment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 2 as the official <br /> <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> 1862 <br /> <br /> <br />
