RD-83-01 RD 83-01 <br /> <br /> CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR FINANCING AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION <br /> OF SEAPORT BOULEVARD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1862, adopted July 19, 1982, <br />the City Council adopted the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment <br />Project No. 2 in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purposes of said Redevelopment Plan, as set forth <br />in Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1862, are to: <br /> <br /> "(a) Eliminate and prevent the spread of blighting <br /> influences including the vacant and underutilized <br /> land and deteriorating buildings, inadequate <br /> transportation, sewer, water and drainage, <br /> and other environmental, economic and social <br /> deficiencies; <br /> <br /> (b) Provide the framework and infra-structure for <br /> restoring economic health to the Project area <br /> and its environs; <br /> <br /> (c) Stimulate commercial and industrial development <br /> within Project No. 2 and the community;" and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lincoln Property Company, a private developer, desires <br />to develop, as a mixed-use business park, that certain real property <br />known as Seaport Centre, which real property is located in the City <br />of Redwood City and within the boundaries of the Redevelopment Project <br />No. 2 "Seaport" sub-area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said desire Lincoln Property Company applied <br />for, and the Planning Commission approved on October 5, 1982, a <br />Planned Development Permit and a Tentative Map for the development of <br /> <br /> 9288 <br /> <br /> <br />
