MEMORANDUM FROM THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> CONCERNING A CLOSED SESSION <br /> BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council Personnel Committee <br /> FROM: Pamela Thompson, City Attorney <br /> SUBJECT: Closed Session — Personnel [Gov't. Code §549571 <br /> Performance evaluation of Interim City Manager <br /> A closed session will be held on March 7, 2011, immediately following regular meeting, for the <br /> purpose of considering the above - described matter. [Gov't. Code §54957.1] <br /> Any action taken by the City Council to appoint, employ, dismiss, accept the resignation of, <br /> change the compensation of or otherwise affect the employment status of a public employee <br /> shall be disclosed immediately following this closed session; provided, however, that the <br /> dismissal or nonrenewal of an employment contract shall be deferred until the first public <br /> meeting following the exhaustion of administrative remedies, if any.
