SWC: sk- 2/19/87 (~30) <br /> DES: sl 2/23/87R (~30) <br /> <br /> BY-LAWS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br /> ARTICLE I - THE AGENCY <br /> <br /> Section 1. Name of Agency. The name of the Agency shall be <br />the "Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City". <br /> <br /> Section 2. Seal of Agency. The seal of the Agency shall be <br />in the form of a circle and shall bear the name of the Agency and <br />the year of its organization. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Office of Agency. The office of the Agency <br />shall be at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, <br />California, or at such place in the City of Redwood City, <br />California as the Agency may from time to time designate by <br />resolution. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE II - OFFICERS <br /> <br /> Section 1. Officers. The officers of the Agency shall be a <br />chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, an executive director and <br />a treasurer. Such other officers as may be deemed necessary may <br />be appointed by the members of the Agency. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Chairman. The chairman shall be the Mayor of <br />the City of Redwood City. He or she shall preside at all <br />meetings of the Agency. Except as provided in Section 5 hereof, <br />and except as otherwise authorized by resolution of the Agency, <br />the chairman shall sign all contracts, deeds and other <br />instruments made by the Agency. At each meeting the Chairman <br />shall submit such recommendations and information as he or she <br />may consider proper concerning the business affairs and policies <br />of the Agency. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Vice Chairman. The vice-chairman shall be the <br />Vice-Mayor of the City of Redwood City. He or she shall perform <br />the duties of the chairman in the absence, incapacity, refusal or <br />inability of the chairman to act. <br /> <br /> Section 4. Secretary. The secretary shall be the City <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City. He or she shall attend all <br />meetings of the agency and keep and maintain a full and true <br />record of all proceedings of the Agency, keep all records of the <br />Agency, have custody of the seal of the Agency, and shall perform <br />all duties incident to the office of secretary. <br /> <br /> Section 5. Executive Director. The executive director <br /> shall be the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of <br /> Redwood City. He or she shall have general supervision over the <br /> administration of the business and affairs of the Agency, subject <br /> to the direction of the Agency.
