. w DES:lt:3/22/71- ORIGINAL tJ ) 22 '11 RESOLUTION NO. 73 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING CONDITIONAL EXPENDITURE OF $188,700 FROM THE REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 3 - 1966 SEWER SYSTEM FUND AS A LOAN TO PROVIDE INTERIM FINANCING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM OF THE JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY FOR THE STRATEGIC CONSOLIDATION SEWERAGE PLAN BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The sum of One Hundred Eighty Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($188,700) heretofore appropriated in the Redwood City General Improvement District 3 -65 1966 Sewer System Fund to provide financing of the acquisition, construction, completion and operation of sanitary sewerage facilities, including collection facilities, sewerage lines and mains, interceptor and outfall lines, and plants and facilities for the treatment and disposal of sewerage pursuant to that certain joint venture of the cities of Belmont, San Carlos and Redwood City under the Joint Powers Authority for the Strategic Consolidation Sewerage Plan, is hereby authorized to be expended as an advance and loan to said Joint Powers Authority to be used for the aforesaid purposes. The foregoing authorization is made on the condition that the entire amount of said sum shall be reimbursed to the City of Redwood City upon receipt of sufficient funds by said Joint Powers Authority (or its agent) from the United States government pursuant to its grant program funding said project, and in no event later than June 30, 1971; it being the intention of the foregoing authorization that the expenditure so authorized shall provide for short term interim financing pending receipt by said Joint Powers Authority of said Federal Grant funds. 2. The City Manager and Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to issue and sign an appropriate instrument of payment providing for the expenditure authorized in Paragraph 1 hereof.
